EC PRO: CAP07 - Encounters Error Messages

Issue: EnergyCAP Pro 05 -- Report CAP 07 encounters error message on some PCs.

Solution: There are two possible solutions:

1. On some PCs, the error is ONLY encountered when the user has a limited account in Windows. Logging in to Windows with a full administrator account eliminates the error.

2. A SQL script can be run and a new version of the CAP 07 report can be installed to solve the problem if the error persists after you try #1 above.

a. Click the Downloads tab in Support Suite
b. Download the Zip file "CAP07FixPro05.zip"
c. Unzip
d. Run the SQL script against your database(s). (Always back up your database prior to running scripts. See note below)
e. Uninstall the existing version of CAP 07.
f. Install the revised report from the CAP report menu (Right click on the topmost node of the tree view, then click Install from the popup menu options.)


The report was revised in EnergyCAP Professional 2006 to eliminate the problem in all cases.

note: To execute the script you need a SQL Server administration tool such as Enterprise Manager. If you are totally unfamiliar with SQL database administration, please seek the assistance of local IT support.
