EC PRO: CAP Reports Fail to Install in Pro 2005
Posted by Barry Kroeker, Last modified by Joel Brickell on 14 July 2015 04:20 PM

Issue: One or more CAP reports encounter error messages during the database upgrade phase of EnergyCAP Pro 2005 installation. Reports that may fail include CAP07, CAP13, CAP 16/17/18.

Solution: The problem is caused by a very minor glitch that occurs when you have Site or Meter codes that are exactly 32 characters in length, or any Site or Meter names that are exactly 64 characters in length. These are the maximum allowed lengths, but due to the glitch, they must be reduced by one character.

Simply shorten the Site or Meter code or name by one character and re-run the database upgrade.

You don't have to shorten ALL Site and Meter codes and names. You only have to shorten any codes that are at the 32-character maximum and any names that are at the 64-character maximum. Report Setup01 can be used to help you spot long codes and names.
