EC Online - "File Cannot be Imported" Error

ISSUE: I am getting an error when I attempt to import a Setup Sheet in EnergyCAP Enterprise Online (ECO). Generating a new Setup Sheet does not resolve the issue. 

ERROR: File cannot be imported
The format of the file selected does not meet the requirements of the template. Please return to the Setup Manager to generate and review a template file, correct and restart the import process.

RESOLUTION: This issue is currently only affecting clients who host their own database and are running ECO version 3.5.2. The bill importer in this version is not compatible with most newer versions of Excel (.xlsx format files). The way around this is to 1) upgrade to a newer version of ECO, or 2) save the import file as a Comma-Separated Value spreadsheet (.csv). The second method will strip away the non-compatible formatting of newer Excel spreadsheets and will allow you to import the file into EnergyCAP.
