EC Online - EnergyCAP Login page not loading

ISSUE: When using EnergyCAP in my web browser, the login screen is not loading. This is due to Adobe Flash plugin being disabled through your web browser's update (EnergyCAP requires the Adobe Flash plugin to be enabled). Please see the possible options below for a resolution.


Option 1: Turn on Adobe Flash Player 

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click MoreMoreand then Settings.
  3. At the bottom, click Show advanced settings.
  4. Under "Privacy," click Content settings.
  5. Under "Flash," choose "Ask first before allowing sites to run Flash."
  6. Click on "Manage exceptions" and in the box type in the EnergyCAP URL you are going to - Example:
  7. At the bottom, click Done. 
  8. Now just reload the EnergyCAP site. 

Option 2: Update Adobe Flash Player

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. In the address bar at the top, type in - chrome://components and press Enter.
  3. Under "Adobe Flash Player," click Check for update.
  4. Go back to the page with the Flash content. If it doesn't load automatically, at the top left, click Reload.

Option 3: Make sure Chrome is up-to-date

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click MoreMore.
  3. Click Update Google Chrome. If you don't see this button, you're on the latest version.
  4. Click Relaunch.

Option 4: Install Flash Player from Adobe's website

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. Go to
  3. Under "Step 1," select your computer's operating system.
  4. Under "Step 2," choose the option that lists "PPAPI."
  5. Click Download now, and follow the steps to install Adobe Flash Player.
