ISSUE: EnergyCAP Online reports are blank when run, there is not any data present on the screen. Possible Reason: Self-Hosted clients who host their own IIS server, either have them set to update automatically or update manually for Microsoft updates. This includes the .NET version. In order to run EnergyCAP Online reports, EnergyCAP requires Crystal Runtime 13. There is a compatibility issue between Crystal Runtime 13 and .NET 4.6 (or higher) that effects Crystal Reports. If the IIS server updates the .NET version from either 4.5 or 4.5.1 to 4.6 or higher; your reports will return blank (no headers, no data) in EnergyCAP. Solution: If you are getting blank reports, before rolling back the IIS server, a quick check that you could do is the following:
The 4_6_##### represents the .NET version, this means that .NET 4.6 is present on the IIS server. The numbers you ideally would like to see are 4_0_30319 To correct this issue, you will need to contact your Server Administrator, they will need to remove the .NET 4.6 or higher and roll back the server to use .NET 4.5 or 4.5.1. The .NET is available on EnergyCAP's download site, the link is below.
