Adding a Category or Group

Categories are a way of organizing multiple groups. All Groups created in EnergyCAP Express must be placed in an existing Category.

To Add a Category:

  1. Navigate to Groups & Benchmarking from the Main Menu.
  2. Click to select either Place Groups or Meter Groups from the Groups navigation list.
  3. Click the "+" icon beneath the Groups list to open the Category Wizard.
  4. Follow the Wizard prompts to provide a name and code for the Category.
  5. When done, click Save to save the new Category. Or click Cancel to exit the Wizard without saving.

To Add a Group to an Existing Category:

  1. Navigate to Groups & Benchmarking.
  2. Click to select the desired Category from the Groups navigation list.
  3. Click the "+" icon beneath the Groups list to open the Group Wizard.
  4. Follow the Wizard prompts to provide a name and code for the Group.
  5. Select other desired Group parameters from the options provided. Click the "?" button for help if needed.
  6. When done, click Save to save the new Group. Or click Cancel to exit the Wizard without saving.
