These are the latest enhancements made to our automated ENERGY STAR interface in EnergyCAP:
- Water meters will now be submitted.
- We will no longer modify bill data that has gaps/overlaps since Portfolio
Manager now accepts the data unmodified. The building will not receive a
rating, but Portfolio Manager will provide an error message instead of preventing
- Space types will sync correctly. If a user removes a space type, it will be
removed from Portfolio Manager without using the reset building button
- EnergyCAP now accepts building square footage that it didn't a few years ago. This
means users can submit a building with less than 5,000 square feet. While
the buildings will not get a rating, they will be submitted.
In case you did not hear, we won the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year award again.
EnergyCAP users have submitted over 8,000 buildings to ENERGY STAR. If you're not among
them, now is a great time to start. This service is included in your license
agreement, and you can submit as often as you like. The ENERGY STAR submittal
service gives you a fast, easy, and error-free way to submit your EnergyCAP
energy usage data electronically to the EPA. You will receive ENERGY STAR
building ratings on the same day. The rating tells you how energy efficient
your buildings are, compared to similar buildings in your region.
In order for these changes to take place, please apply the schema update in
EnergyCAP. Go to the ENERGY STAR module in the software and click on Apply
Update. If you are hosted by EnergyCAP, we will do this for you.
