EC Enterprise: Natural Gas Unit May Have Changed
Posted by Matthew Heinz, Last modified by Joel Brickell on 15 July 2015 02:21 PM

Some internal system changes made in Enterprise release 6.2 may have inadvertently changed your natural gas reporting unit of measure.

The reporting unit of measure, called the Common Usage Roll-Up, is used on all reports except those at the individual meter and bill level, such as BL01 and BL07.

Follow these steps to check your natural gas common reporting units:

1. Click Tools > Unit System

2.  From the Unit System's Commodities tab, scroll down to Natural Gas. The common reporting unit of measure is shown in the third column.

3. In this example, reports will show gas in units of THERM. If you want to report gas in units other than THERM (CCF, MCF, DKTHM, CM, etc), submit a support ticket for assistance. Technical Support can also assist you with any other reporting unit changes you may wish to make.

NOTE:
Changes to the Common Usage Roll-Up do NOT affect your bill entry templates in any way (the active units of measure shown on your manual bill entry templates will not change). To change bill entry template units of measure, you can edit the templates from Accounting > Templates. However, EnergyCAP does NOT recommend changing units of measure on existing templates unless the units on your bill have changed.
