ECO - Error messages at login window.document.EnergyCAP2 is null or not an object
Posted by Joel Brickell, Last modified by Joel Brickell on 15 July 2015 02:28 PM

Problem: I get a pop-up message (see below) when I log into EnergyCAP Online web.

Solution:  What has happened is that the default.aspx file makes reference to two EnergyCAP's. One of them needs to be removed. Review the fix below.

Inside the default.aspx file you will see a tag that looks like this:

<body scroll=no onload=window.document.EnergyCAPName.focus(); window.document.EnergyCAP2.focus();>

You will need to edit/delete the second window.document¦ reference so that it look like the one below:

<bodyscroll=no onload=window.document.EnergyCAPName.focus();>

Once you have made the change, please save the default.aspx file. This should fix this pop-up error from occurring at ECAP Online login.

If you this does not fix the program, please go to our Support page (http://support.energycap.com) and put in a trouble ticket.
